Established in 2015, the MINEX Europe Forum is a leading international event dedicated to the advancement of primary materials and the transition to renewable energy sources while striving for net zero targets. Previously held in Austria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Poland, the Forum has fostered cross-border dialogue on sustainable mining practices and projects across Southern, Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe.

The Forum brings together representatives from the mining, technology, investment, and policy-making sectors, enabling critical discussions on the sustainable sourcing of raw materials to meet European industrial needs. It also addresses the impacts of significant policies such as the European Critical Raw Materials Act, Just Transition, Green Deal, and the coal phase-out on the future of the mining industry.

The 8th MINEX Forum aims to break the “bubble of silence” surrounding these sensitive and politicised issues. The organisers are committed to offering a neutral platform for essential and open-minded discussions on current challenges and potential solutions for the mining and mineral exploration sector, focusing on meeting Europe’s needs for essential metals and minerals while upholding the highest standards in mining and post-mining reconciliation.
